Blogging it in the Real World

Fellow scribes - I hope to use this space to aid others by notifying them of new writing competitions, festivals, etc, as well as updating you on news about writers whose work I admire, and indeed on my own work.
I'll begin by congratulating my partner Steve Wade on his most recent achievement - winning first prize in the Christmas Chillers Short Story Competition. Yet another string to his fast expanding bow! You can view Steve's news and find links to his work on his website: www.stephenwade.ie
A certain literary birdie also informs me that Ms Nuala ni Chonchuir has a novel coming out later this year with New Island Books. Go Nuala! You are one talented and prolific lady and I wish you all the best in 2010.
